Dumonde Tech Original Bicycle Chain Lube is more concentrated than the Lite and excels in the most challenging conditions. We use it on our mountain bikes and for the road bike when the road and weather conditions promise to be poor. Not to worry if you normally use one or the other, the two Dumonde Tech Lube formulas are compatible and may be used interchangeably. As you ride, Dumonde Tech forms a low-friction plastic plating which bonds to the chain and drivetrain components. This allows them to last longer and run quieter than what you'd get from any other lubricant. It comes in two concentrations. This Dumonde Tech Original is more viscous than the Lite, even though they have the same formulation. A coating of the thicker Original is more durable than the Lite, so it generally requires less frequent applications. To get the best results from Dumonde Tech Lubes, first degrease your chain and dry it thoroughly prior to the first application. This effectively primes the surface for the "plating" effect that makes the lube so successful. For the first application, we recommend putting one drop on each link to really aid the plating effect, wiping the excess from the chain after it has had time to work itself into the pins. When your chain begins to get noisy, it's time to reapply. Use soap and water to clean the chain prior to re-application -- strong solvents and degreasers will remove the protective plastic plating from the chain, putting you back at square one.This Dumonde Tech Original Bicycle Chain Lube comes in a 2oz bottle that should last for 20 or so applications.

While we don't know about Gs one through nine, we can tell you that Dumonde Tech's G-10 Lubricant is something special. It is 100% biodegradable. By this, Dumonde doesn't mean that 51% of the lube is biodegradable, which often is enough for people to make a claim about their product. They mean 100%. That means the lube, the carrier, everything. There are no petroleum products in this lube. Only plant products. Bio-lube if you will. We can't say whether or not using G-10 will save the world. We can tell you that it is a step in the right direction. Lube comes off chains, get onto roads, trails, and eventually, can make it into the water table. We don't see any benefit to that. G-10 works like any other lube, albeit one with a nice citrus smell. Start with a clean chain. Dribble on the lube. Wipe off. Wipe again. Go. If it performs at all like other Dumonde lubes, it might even perform better after one or two bike washings. Because it is biodegradable, it might not last quite as long as Dumonde's Original and Lite lubes, but we found those lubes to be pretty long lasting. The Dumonde Tech G-10 lubricant comes in a recyclable drip bottle. The lube is colored green. The bottle size is two ounces (2oz.).
